Winter Swim Program
The Greenbriar Dolphins Swim Team has a Winter Swim Program available to younger swim team members and siblings. The program offers the opportunity to be in the water year-round and continue to work on stroke development. The program runs from the weekend after Labor Day through the weekend before Memorial Day. The sessions are 1 hour long and typically on Sunday evenings. Registration will open in August after the exact time slot has been determined.
All swimmers (aged 10 or younger as of June 1 of the current year) must have passed the Swim Safe Test by the time registration opens in August in order sign up for the Winter Program.
If demand for the program exceeds available program capacity, the Winter Swim Reps will advertise additional criteria for awarding spots, including but not limited to, an age cap, priority to non-club swimmers and/or previous winter and summer swim team participation.
For older swimmers, the Winter Swim Program offers the opportunity to earn volunteer hours or paid wages for coaching the younger swimmers. Volunteer coaches must be at least 12 years old and paid coaches must be at least 16 years old. If interested in coaching, please send an email to [email protected].
