2024 Greenbriar Dolphins Awards Banquet

The evening of July 20th is when we celebrate the end of the season with our awards banquet. 1.Like our swim meets, we are asking families to log in and declare or decline whether their swimmer and family members will attend the banquet ASAP. For those of you who are undeclared, please navigate to the event page and identify whether your swimmer will attend or not. This act alone helps us a great deal in planning for this event. Cost for the banquet will be $10 per person for 10+ and $5 for under 10. We will have pizza, pinwheels, fruit, veggies and nuggets. The additional cost helps cover the venue rental & food. Team Store - Greenbriar Dolphin Swim Team Adult Team Store - Greenbriar Dolphin Swim Team- Children 10 and under We need lot of volunteers to help with this last event of the season. Please sign up to help in some way if you plan on attending the banquet. We are hoping to have each age group sit together to help the paper plate awards go a little faster this year. On the Saturday following the fifth dual meet, each division has an individual championship meet, commonly referred to as "Divisionals". Each team is allowed to enter two swimmers in each event and a swimmer can enter no more than two events. This is an individual meet and is not scored. Thank you to The Kim’s & The Millers’s for opening their homes to our 13&Over Progressive Dinner this season. This event is regularly shared as a favorite memory of our graduating seniors so let’s keep the tradition alive and give them an evening to remember. Non-host parents are expected to handle the remaining items necessary to pull this evening off. These items will be located in the in the “Job Signup” section for this event. We need non-host families to provide or do the following: 8 families to deliver appetizers to the appetizer host by 4:45pm on the day of the event. 10 families to deliver a main course the main course address between 5:30 and 6:00pm on the day of the event. 6 families to deliver dessert to the dessert address by 7:30pm on the day of the event. 4 families to deliver 4 folding chairs each to the main course address before 2PM the day of the event. 4 families to deliver a folding table each to the main course address before 2PM the day of the event. 4 (possibly more) drivers with larger vehicles to shuttle guests from appetizers to main course 4 (possibly more) drivers with larger vehicles to shuttle guests from main course to dessert Finally, please don't forget to indicate through the events page whether your swimmer will attend or not. Trick or Treat! Bring some sweets. We’ll meet and eat. Dolphin pride can’t be beat!! Swim Meet Theme: For our Saturday (7/13/24) and Monday (7/15/24) swim meets, the theme is Halloween. Dress up in your favorite costume. Wear your outfit to the Friday Pep Rally, Saturday HOME & Monday AWAY Meet! It’s the last pep rally of the season and we want to finish the season with a trunk or treat parade. Costumes & candy in July. Parents, if you want to participate in the trunk or treat, please park your cars on the left-hand side of the parking lot closest to the pickle ball courts. Decorate your trunk and bring candy to hand out to the swimmers who will trick or treat after we eat. Pep Rally Activity: Trunk or Treat Pep Rally Meal Theme: Tex Mex

Good Morning I have had a few questions on the group ticket sales and if the group all have to arrive together. I received the below information from the park. You do have to purchase all the group tickets at once to get the group rate, but you do NOT need to enter as a group. After you complete the purchase, you can screenshot and send the tickets to the correct person. They will simply use that to scan into the park upon arrival. I will pull down RSVP's this weekend and put families together. If you are taking a swimmer that is not a part of your family, please let me know, so I can add them to the master listing and include their ticket with your families' tickets. The link below can be used to pay for your tickets. It will be $45 per ticket. This includes the part entrance, swimtopia fees, tax and Kings Dominion Processing fees. https://www.greenbriardolphins.org/shop/155844 Children under 2 do not need a ticket to get into the park, so if you have any children under that age that will be attending, do not include them in the RSVP total. The Dolphins trip to Kings Dominion is next week. We have over 15 people RSVP'ed, so we have secured the group discount. Please RSVP by Friday July 5th at noon. Dolphin Families The movie for this week is Despicable Me 4. Fairfax Corner 12:45pm movie. If you are looking for a way to beat the heat and swim fatigue to rest up for all Monday Night Meets, join us for movie fun & bonding. Each Monday, we will get a group of Dolphin swimmers together and meet at a local Theater for some nice relaxing entertainment out of the sun. A parent or adult chaperone will be expected to stay and watch the movie and supervise any swimmer under 10 years old. All swimmers and attendees will be responsible for purchasing tickets and any snacks for the movie. We will try and determine the movie that we will be going to by Sunday afternoon each week. We hope to see you at the movies! |
