RECAP 6/17 Brookfield vs Greenbriar: Yesterday the Brookfield Breakers found themselves swimming in a sea of green with Greenbriar handily defeating Brookfield in our first NVSL meet of the season. Final score was 280 Greenbriar to 139 Brookfield. The weather was wonderful and our team spirit was high, helped in no small part by the “Return of the Hulk.” Who was that guy? Just don’t make him angry…you wouldn’t like it when he gets… angry.

Pancake Breakfast Tomorrow!: We flip for our swimmers! Summer swim morning practices have begun and we’re celebrating with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the team. All Greenbriar swimmers are welcome to grab a plate after practice Monday morning to start fueling up for our first Monday night meet.
Beat The Heat at a Monday Afternoon Movie: In case you missed the email sent yesterday you can also learn more about the Team Monday movie this week (6/17) on the events page
Greenbriar Hosting Poplar Tree!: Tomorrow evening we swim our first home Monday meet of the season with the Poplar Tree PIrates. Please have your swimmer in their Greenbriar Suit and Greenbriar Cap at the pool by 4:45PM so that they can begin their team warm-up at 5:00PM promptly. The meet will begin at 6:00PM. We do still have some volunteer positions we need to fill to get this meet started and finished so sign up for a job your family can complete for the team on the job sign up page. We’re still following our “GreenOut” theme so come dressed to show your spirit. We can use all the help we can get to get the pool “meet ready” as soon as it closes at 4:00pm. Tomorrow you will find the Meet Program uploaded to our members only “Meet Programs” page here.
Tuesday is Fun Day Practice: Swimmers are treated to a fun day of practice after Monday night meets. Early Bird and 13 & Up practice starts at 8:00am instead of the normal 7:30am. Every other practice starts at the regular time.
6/21 Pep Rally Friday: Thank you Melinda Perez for organizing a fabulous pep rally last Friday evening. It was the place to be in Greenbriar! We hold pep rallies before every Saturday meet. Please come out and help hype the swimmers up.
(6/22) Daventry vs Greenbriar: If you haven’t already done so, please declare swimmer availability for the team’s Saturday away meet against Daventry by Monday evening. The final roster of swimmers selected for the meet will be emailed on or by Thursday. We really need parents to identify their swimmer's availability for all meets so we know who is available and who is not. We would prefer for you to specifically indicate your swimmer is NOT available rather than leaving the Team Reps and Coaches to assume they are not by not making a declaration.
Looking Ahead to Relay Carnival: Every week we have a meet on Monday and Saturday until the end of the season. For next week (6/24) we will also be sending swimmers to the Division 11 Relay Carnival at Mosby Woods on Wednesday (6/26). Keep this one on your radar when it comes time to declare for the upcoming Saturday and Monday meets.
See you at the pool!
