Greenbriar Swims for Big John
A Fundraising Event for the John W. Thomasson Memorial Foundation
On September 2nd, 2022 Big John Thomasson was taken too soon. In his memory, his parents Jay and Connie Thomasson started the John W. Thomasson Memorial Foundation to provide scholarships to Virginia Tech students pursuing degrees on a similar track to John (Biology Major with a Biomedical concentration). On Monday, July 10th at 5:45PM, the Greenbriar Dolphins will host the Virginia Run Riptide for our Western Fairfax Developmental League (WFDL) Swim Meet which we would like to dedicate to our teammate Big John and host as a fundraiser for the foundation. All are invited to come out and enjoy the evening.
Opportunities to support the foundation include:
- Eat: proceeds from concessions sales will be donated to the foundation
- Play: A 50/50 raffle with 50% of proceeds to raffle winner and the other 50% to the foundation
- Swim Exhibition relay with a suggested donation per team entry of $25. Sign up a team here!
